The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration strive to combine the contemplative life with the active through perpetual adoration and works of mercy. In all that we do, the desire of our hearts is that Love Himself, Jesus Christ, may be loved in every heart throughout the world.
Perpetual Adoration is the heart of our community. As our foundress Blessed Maria Theresia Bonzel stated, “We can never appreciate sufficiently the grace of belonging to a congregation whose particular aim is Perpetual Adoration... how innumerable the graces the Lord bestows on us during the quiet hours of adoration. Let us fulfill this obligation faithfully... for in eternity, we shall continue the loving labor of our grateful hearts: the adoration of God.”
In our profession of vows, we vow to live in poverty, obedience, and chastity “with the support of my Sisters.” Each Sister shows her love for Christ in a unique, personal way. There are always opportunities to learn more about each other and grow closer to Christ together.

United by our adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and service to Him in our brothers and sisters, we experience the “joy that no one will take” from us (cf John 16:22). Just as Francis of Assisi saw Our Lord in all things, our fraternal life and our life of prayer help us to see Christ all around us, and thus we rejoice in the abundance of His blessings.
